Heirloom & Personality Portrait Pop-Ups

When you want portraits on your time, your date and at a location convenient to you (with a great discount) -- consider hosting a Portrait Pop-up Party. You provide the space, gather your friends and family, and get to have a little fun chatting and being together while I get those sweet smiles and silly faces.


What does it require to host?


Space: 9ft x 6ft for the backdrop with about 10 feet from the child to the camera, preferably in a space that has access to a window or some source of natural lighting. I'm happy to come look at a space beforehand to guide you on where to set up -- it doesn't have to be inside; a porch or fully-shaded patio or yard spot often works perfectly, as does a community clubhouse or space that you may have access to.


People: Minimum of 5 families (including the host family) and a maximum of 10 families. Time slot sign up will be provided, and the host gets first choice! If your school or local group would like to host a larger event, please ask!


Time: Each child takes 10-15 minutes of time on average to photograph, so time commitment depends on how many families you have attending. Daylight hours are preferable for lighting purposes.


Deposit: $50 deposit to hold pop-up date. Deposit will be refunded or credited toward session balance (if any) or print purchases once the party bookings are fulfilled. Cancelled or unfulfilled party date deposits will not be refunded, but can be credited toward a future party date within 3 months.

Variety of sizes available up to 3T for boys and girls. As Heirloom

Portraits are from the waist up, smaller or slightly larger sizes can be

adjusted to work for the sitting with a few safety pins.

Tips & Details


  • Session Fees -
  • Monotone Package: at least 5 images, digital download gallery of images delivered in either B&W or color only (1st child - $200, 2nd sibling - $150, 3rd+ - $100*)
  • Duotone Package: at least 5 images, digital download gallery of images delivered in both B&W and color (1st child - $250, 2nd sibling - $200, 3rd+ - $150*)

All packages include the option to order classic photo prints and canvases directly

from gallery or to make Fine Art print orders via email

*Sibling bookings will be scheduled back-to-back unless otherwise requested and

includes a complimentary sibling group photo if desired

  • Guests can come and go as they please, as long as they are present for their session time.
  • Guests choose between heirloom portraits or personality portraits, select package and indicate background preferences (for Personality Portraits) when they sign up.
  • It's a fun touch to provide a few snacks/drinks for guests but when planning snacks think about what can easily be eaten without a mess for kids getting pictures taken. Or use the snacks as a post-photo incentive!
